Daniel Cowper

Daniel Cowper is a writer who was born and raised on Bowen Island. He studied philosophy, medieval literature, and law, at UBC, NYU, and the University of Toronto before moving home. His poems and essays on poetry have appeared in literary reviews in Canada, the USA, Ireland, and the UK, including Arc, Barren, the Town Crier, and Southword, among others. His poetry chapbook, The God of Doors, was published in 2017 as winner of Frog Hollow Press' Chapbook Prize, and his first full-length collection of poems, Grotesque Tenderness, was published by McGill-Queen's University in 2019.
