About the Event

This poetry workshop, led by nationally acclaimed author Jude Neale, is for novices as well as experienced writers. It will ignite your imagination and free your creativity through writing prompts, games, and exercises. Everyone will come away with poems and a deeper connection with language. There will be lots of time to simply share your work with the rest of the group. Jude is known for her fun and interactive workshops and is looking forward to writing with each of you. Come and amaze yourself! Bring what you like to write on: notebook or electronic, (I have written my last six books on my phone!). Guaranteed poems and fun!

About the Facilitator

Jude Neale is a Canadian poet, vocalist, spoken word performer and mentor, who has published 11 books and whose work is frequently featured in journals, anthologies, and e-zines. She has been shortlisted, highly commended, and a finalist for many national and international competitions, and has written eleven books. Her book A Quiet Coming of Light, A Poetic Memoir(Leaf Press) was a finalist for the Pat Lowther Memorial Award, which recognizes exemplary Canadian female poets, The Pandora Award, The Magpie Award, The Delta Literary Arts Award and RCLAS award, among many others. The River Answers, (Ekstasis Editions) was published in early 2021, along with Inside the Pearl (Guernica Editions). Her forthcoming book is called, The Flaw.
