Yes. I was invited to a wedding on Bowen and accidentally went to the wrong ceremony (though we realized in time to make it to the right one). So, this visit I’m looking forward to being in the right place at the right time.

What's one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I once navigated a sailboat from Vancouver to Hawaii using a sextant. To be surprised by this, you need to know my lack of sense of direction and inability to do math (or maybe the wedding story will suffice).

What’s the best words of advice on writing you’ve ever been given?

Writing is rewriting. The revision is where the real work gets done—and it will probably take longer than you think.

What do you like to read? Is there a book you could recommend?

Oof, I like so many different things, but my favourite authors are Anthony Doerr and Stephen King. I can’t just recommend one book, so here are three: All the Light We Cannot See, Cloud Cuckoo Land, and Billy Summers.
